Value set

Value set is the generalized point of frequency response quantifying the uncertainty of your model set at given frequency (see the left picture). In other words: from your experimental data you know the process quite precisely at several frequencies while the uncertainty is bigger at the other ones. This uncertainty must be taken into account. We can shape the width of value set by

  • n - total order of the process
  • m - minimum order of each pole

However, the area converges very quickly to the maximum one for the infinite order (see the right picture below).
